Block Matrix: Falling Blocks is a pure, responsive browser implementation of the timeless falling block puzzle genre. Players maneuver seven distinctive geometric shapes (I, J, L, O, S, T, and Z pieces) as they descend down a 10x20 grid matrix. The objective is to rotate, slide, and drop pieces into place so that full horizontal lines are formed without gaps. When a row is completed, it vanishes in a burst of points, allowing upper blocks to settle down. Clearing multiple rows simultaneously—up to four at once with the long I-bar—awards massive bonus points. Block Matrix incorporates modern competitive puzzle standards, including a ghost piece projection for exact drop targeting, an upcoming piece preview queue, wall-kick rotation mechanics, and instant hard-drop capabilities.
